In the casino the four common parts are shown. The first picture is of Lola in front of the roulette table. The table has a double significance as first roulette is a game of chance. In the third run the element of chance is much more frequent as the audience sees the interaction of chance with the other three parts, Lola, Lola’s relationship with Manni and time. Secondly roulette also incorporates the form of the story, the spiral, as the ball spins the ball follows a spiral pattern until it lands on the number, 20, reflecting the story of run Lola run. The image of Lola yelling is the strongest representation of the relationship between Manni and Lola. The yell reflects Lola’s desperation to save the love of her life, Manni. this yell is different from the previous two yells as the first two were so Lola could get attention and the final yell is to save Manni. The number twenty is repeated throughout the film with each run lasting around twenty minutes. The form of the story and the story gravitate around the limited time of twenty minutes. The last image of a clock serves to remind that the form of the story and the story are subservient to the time.
